Jason Wake

Jason is the Hospital Manager for Polk Street Animal Hospital and The Castro Animal Hospital. A Bay Area native, he has called San Francisco home for the past 20 years, where he lives with his husband and their two dogs, Sofi and Cow Girl, and their two cats, Luca and Squanch.

Jason began his veterinary career as a kennel attendant in 2001. Inspired by the team around him, he quickly realized veterinary medicine was where he wanted to build his career. Over the past 25 years, he has grown through a variety of roles before helping open The Castro Animal Hospital in 2018 and playing a key role in launching Polk Street Animal Hospital in 2021. Today, Jason oversees both hospitals, focusing on building strong teams, fostering a collaborative culture and helping ensure every client and patient has a positive experience.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys staying active at the gym, hiking, camping, and catching the latest movie on the big screen.
